Hello, I am Amishamj, and I am a voracious bookworm. I spend an average of at least four hours a day reading either a book or fanfiction. I used to write fanfiction and original short stories, but my muses left me about the same time that I started taking AP classes. My theory is that as the time spent studying increased, and leisure time decreased, my muses became annoyed with me ignoring them and decided to find someone with more time on their hands. Oh well, I still read what is probably (maybe) an unhealthy amount daily.

My favorite color is pink, swiftly followed by black, white, red, blue, purple, and a whole plethora of pastels and dark tones. I really enjoy both painting and drawing, as well as various other crafts, though I have yet to post any of that online.

My favorite genres are Science fiction and Fantasy, both in books and on screen.

I really, truly love the Harry Potter series. I'm also obsessive of several branching interests, including fanfition, Wizard Rock, etc. Besides that, I have long loved several other series, including Diane Duane's Young Wizard Series, Anne McCaffrey's Dragonrider's series (and the related Dragonsinger series), Tamora Pierce's Tortall universe's and her Circle of Magic universe's series'.I love Patricia C. Wrede's Enchanted Forest series, and the collaboration series starting with the Enchanted Chocolate Pot. The Chronicle's of Narnia, Gerald Morris's The Squire's Tales, a great many of T.A. Barron's books, The Wrinkle in Time series, and many other's have also graced my bookshelves for quite some time. I should stop now before I give an inventory of my bedside bookcase.
...sorry, I just need to mention a few other favorites. I love Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice is tied with Northanger Abbey as my two favorites from her. Shakespeare is also a big favorite of mine, my absolute favorite by him is Much Ado About Nothing. My favorite poet of all time, is e. e. cummings.

My favorite movies are Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Men in Tights, Monty Pythong and the Holy Grail, Pride and Prejudice, and most recently Star Trek:2009. My favorite TV show at the moment is Doctor Who, new seasons 1-4 (i'm working on getting used to eleven). I used to watch SG1, but I haven't in years. I generally am too busy for TV though, so I get my fix online.

My taste in music rotates, and I like basically everything except really twangy country or expletive drenched rap. But even that has some exceptions. I've been really into Lounge, House, Electronic, Alternative, and Instrumental, but the bands themselves tend to cycle. Thank God for Pandora and Youtube. I've listened to everything from J-Pop to Benny Bennassi to LInkin Park to Gotan Project to Beyonce to Nightwish to Marilyn Mansen to Bond to Adnan Sami. All probably in the last week and a half. I generally don't care about the more recent Pop though.

I also love anime and manga. I used to be very into Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Ruruoni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Escaflowne, Detective Conan, Card Captor Sakura, Magic Kaito, and Naruto. Now, I just occasionally read updates to favorited fanfiction, since College has taken over my life.

If you are still reading, I'm impressed. The above was basically list after list, so maybe you just skimmed. Either way, we shall get to the heart ( or at least the lungs) of the matter. Me. Hmm...I am addicted to chocolate and caffine in general, but especially in the forms of Soda and Coffee. I hate excercising, partially because both my shins are screwed up. I get Migrane headaches on a regular basis. I also get regular headaches and Tension headaches. I'm allergic to most preservatives. I hate oranges, and the color orange by proxy, the smell alone makes me want to retch. I love the color pink because I'm stubborn. I don't like the heat, and I really miss snow. I love roses. My one vanity is my Hair, which is long, dark, has reddish violet glints in the right light, and reaches my thighs. I have horrible eyesight, and have to wear glasses to correct my nearsightedness because I cannot stand contacts. I am a night owl, and hate having to wake up early. Givin the opportunity (say over a break), I will inevitably become nocturnal. Also I can only clean at night. I live in a contant state of comfortable messiness, since rooms that are clean and organized and have blank surfaces seem like showpieces and not living spaces. Plus, I can remember exactly where I put everything. I don't have a photographic memory, but sometimes it feels that way. I can't think of anything else to put here.
